First Annual Youth Softball Clinic

TFA hosted our first annual youth softball clinic for K-5 lower school girls this year.  The clinic took place from November 28-December 7.   We had a great turnout for our first year, and the players and coaches all had a blast!  The girls worked on the fundamentals of throwing, fielding, hitting, and base running for the first part of each practice.  We concluded most days by splitting the girls into teams and having them play in a fast-paced modified game format.  The youngsters showed remarkable improvement over the course of the
clinic.

Players participating this year were: Tessa Alexander, Marissa Thomson, Milan Rutecki, Jessica Martin, Wren Livesay, Emma Bunch, Lauren Philbin, Emily Rhodes, Abigail Torres, Lily Anderson, Hope Russo, and Faith DeBoom.   The clinic was led by TFA’s varsity softball coach Tim Covey, along with the help of varsity players Emeline Maier, Savannah Young, Haley Muller and varsity assistant coaches Jane Knuth and Maurice Smith.  Great job girls!  If your daughter did not participate this year, we hope to see her on the field next year!
