Project Homeless Connect

Friday, March 23rd, The First Academy faculty and staff will be partnering with First Baptist Church Orlando for its first ever, Project Homeless Connect. With 180 school days accounted for and extra days built into the school calendar for hurricane days, the school will be closed on March 23rd so our faculty and staff can have the opportunity to help with this event and lead by example of living out our mission statement of "service before self."

This community outreach will take place from 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM on the church campus. The Homeless Services Network is expecting over 2,000 people to participate in the day's events, included much needed volunteers. If you are interested in being a part of this outreach, please feel free to sign up at https://docs.google.com/a/hsncfl.org/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dHY1QnMyYTNnR1RGUEZIYjB4UjNsV2c6MQ  You must be 18 years or older.

If you are not able to volunteer your time, then maybe you can help fulfill the supply needs for this event. At each division, there will be boxes setup in the reception area to collect the following hygiene products. With your help, we can provide hygiene kits for each guest that participates.

Lower School Collection Boxes
1,000 bars of soap
1,000 travel size shampoo bottles
1,000 travel size hand sanitizers

Middle School Collection Boxes
1,000 individually wrapped toothbrushes
1,000 travel size toothpaste
   800 travel size men's deodorant

Upper School Collection Boxes
1,000 disposable razors
600 individually wrapped feminine hygiene products
   200 travel size women's deodorant

Thank you for your partnership and we are blessed to serve you!
